Divine Empowerment Outreach Brings Clean Water to Lemiiteykura Community
The residents of Lemiiteykura in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District in the Savanna Region of Ghana have finally received access to clean and safe drinking water, thanks to the generous intervention of Divine Empowerment Outreach, a non-governmental organization dedicated to improving livelihoods in rural communities.
For years, the people of Lemiiteykura struggled with severe water scarcity, relying on contaminated sources that they shared with animals. This dire situation posed serious health risks to the community, leaving residents vulnerable to waterborne diseases. However, their plight has been alleviated with the construction of a mechanized borehole powered by solar energy, a project fully sponsored and executed by Divine Empowerment Outreach.

Speaking at the event, the assembly member for the area Hon. Anpara Emmanuel commended Divine Empowerment Outreach for their unwavering commitment to providing sustainable solutions to rural challenges. He highlighted the significance of the solar-powered mechanized borehole, emphasizing that it not only provides clean water but also ensures a sustainable and environmentally friendly water supply, as the village has no access to electricity.
The commissioning of the borehole was met with great joy and celebration as the entire community gathered to witness this life-changing development. The event saw the presence of the community’s chief, elders, the assembly member, and an enthusiastic crowd of residents, all expressing their heartfelt gratitude to the NGO for this noble initiative.
The chief of Lemiiteykura, in his remarks, extended his profound appreciation to the NGO, describing the project as a milestone in the community’s development. He acknowledged the immense relief it brings, especially to women and children who previously had to walk long distances in search of water.
A representative from Divine Empowerment Outreach Mr. Samuel Antwi reaffirmed the organization’s mission to uplift underprivileged communities through impactful projects. “We believe that access to clean water is a fundamental right, and we are committed to reaching out to communities like Lemiiteykura to make a lasting difference,” he stated.

Residents of Lemiiteykura could not hide their excitement, with many describing the borehole as a blessing that will improve hygiene, health, and overall quality of life.
Divine Empowerment Outreach has once again demonstrated the power of humanitarian efforts in transforming lives. Their intervention in Lemiiteykura serves as an inspiring example of how NGOs can bridge development gaps in rural areas, ensuring that basic human needs are met.
With this new development, the people of Lemiiteykura can now look forward to a healthier and more convenient way of accessing water, a fundamental necessity that had long eluded them. Their joy and gratitude echo a resounding message of hope and progress for many other underserved communities.
