In a heartfelt ceremony at the community park, Nana Berima Mantey, the Chief of Asuaba in the Upper West Akyem district of the Eastern Region, expressed his profound gratitude to the Adeshie Mma Fun Club for their generous donation to over 200 widows in the community as part of their Easter giveaway program.
The event was marked by enthusiasm and joy as the chief and his elders warmly welcomed the Adeshie Mma Fun Club. The widows were thrilled to receive essential items, including clothing, food, drinks, slippers, and more, bringing smiles to their faces during this festive season.
In his address to the media, Chief Nana Berima Mantey shared his happiness regarding the donation, emphasizing the need for ongoing support to uplift the widows in the community. He made a compassionate appeal to philanthropists, individuals, corporate institutions, and the government to assist these vulnerable women, who often face significant challenges while caring for their children.
Nana Adwoa Anobia, the CEO of Adeshie Mma Fun Club, also spoke to the media, explaining the club’s decision to support widows during the Easter celebration. She highlighted the importance of giving and the benefits it brings to both the giver and the recipient.
