Black Queens midfielder Evelyn Badu has officially signed with Norwegian giants FK Molde, securing a deal that will keep her at the club until the end of the 2025 season. The 22-year-old talent joins Molde from French side Fleury 91, bringing a wealth of experience from top-tier leagues, which is a significant boost as she prepares for the upcoming Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco later this year.

Badu’s move to FK Molde is anticipated to provide her with valuable game experience and exposure in the competitive Norwegian league. Manager Erlend Holmlund expressed enthusiasm about the signing, noting her extensive background in top leagues. “Considering Evelyn’s young age, she has remarkable experience from her time in the Toppserien with Avaldsnes and most recently in the French top division with FC Fleury 91,” Holmlund stated.

During her tenure with Avaldsnes, Badu made 47 appearances and scored two goals, while her time at Fleury 91 included 13 appearances and one goal. Her technical skills and versatility on the field make her a promising asset for FK Molde.

This transfer marks a new chapter in Badu’s career as she aims to make a substantial impact in the Norwegian league. With her talent and experience, she is expected to be a key player for her new club and continue her strong performance on the international stage with the Black Queens.

Badu’s signing comes at a pivotal moment ahead of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled from July 5 to July 26, 2025. The tournament will showcase some of the best women’s teams in Africa, and Badu’s experience in top leagues will be crucial for the Black Queens as they seek to make a strong impression.
