Minority Leader in Parliament, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, emphasized the need for diverse support for Ghanaian youth, urging that assistance should not be limited to those wearing party colors.

Speaking at the second edition of the 2025 Kwahu Business Forum in the Kwahu South District, he highlighted the significance of empowering local businesses. “When we empower local businesses, we don’t just boost productivity—we create opportunities and open doors to jobs,” he stated.

The Member of Parliament for Effutu argued for the depoliticization of entrepreneurship, asserting that it should not be viewed through a political lens or constrained by political actors. He called for support for entrepreneurs regardless of their political affiliations and stressed the importance of bridging the gap between access to finance and entrepreneurial potential.

Afenyo-Markin encouraged entrepreneurs to invest boldly in their dreams, reinforcing the message of resilience and determination.

The forum attracted notable figures, including former President John Dramani Mahama, government officials, industry leaders, and entrepreneurs. Held under the theme “The Future of Business: The Role of the Financial Sector,” the event aimed to connect financial institutions and private sector players to discuss investment opportunities, policy interventions, and strategies for fostering a resilient business landscape in Ghana.
