In a significant move to strengthen partnerships, John Bawah, Managing Director of the State Housing Company, met with contractors at the Accra City Hotel in his first official engagement since taking office in January 2025. The meeting aimed to foster collaboration and drive growth in Ghana’s housing sector.
During the meeting, Mr. Bawah emphasized the importance of innovation, efficiency, and impactful service delivery in achieving the company’s goals. He highlighted the need for mutually beneficial partnerships with contractors to advance logistical interests and support broader socio-economic objectives.
The State Housing Company plans to invest in infrastructure, community support programs, and energy security to drive economic transformation. Mr. Bawah reiterated the company’s commitment to being a pivotal player in Ghana’s housing growth, focusing on industrial innovation and implementing appropriate technologies for national development.
The meeting provided a platform for open dialogue, enabling the State Housing Company and contractors to work together towards achieving shared objectives in the housing sector. As the Managing Director, John Bawah has pledged to transform the housing sector by leveraging innovation, efficiency, and strategic partnerships to expand homeownership opportunities.
The State Housing Company Limited, established in 1956 as the Gold Coast Housing Corporation, has a mandate to increase the availability of dwelling houses in Ghana. With Mr. Bawah’s extensive background in real estate development, project management, and leadership, the company is poised to reach greater heights in the housing sector.
